Za bardzo kochała. Te właśnie psują wszystko najszybciej i najdokładniej. Chcą dostać tyle samo, ile dają i pewnego dnia wali się wszystko. Wtedy odchodzą.

Jeszcze zdążymy w dżungli ludzkości siebie odnaleźć. Tęskność zawrotna przybliża nas.
Zbiegną się wreszcie tory sieroce naszych dwu planet. Cudnie spokrewnią się ciała nam.

Jeszcze zdążymy tanio wynająć małą mansardę
z oknem na rzekę lub też na park;
z łożem szerokim, piecem wysokim, ściennym zegarem; schodzić będziemy codziennie w świat.

Jeszcze zdążymy naszą miłością siebie zachwycić,
siebie zachwycić i wszystko w krąg.
Wojna to będzie straszna, bo czas nas będzie chciał zniszczyć, lecz nam się uda zachwycić go.

Edward Stachura,
Jest już za późno, nie jest za późno
